Day 1

I will praise always

“Though the cherry trees don’t blossom and the strawberries don’t ripen. Though the apples are worm eaten and the wheat fields stunted. Though the sheep pens are sheepless and the cattle barns empty. I’m singing joyful praise to God. I’m turning cartwheels of joy to my Savior God. Counting on God’s rule to prevail, I take heart and gain strength. I run like a deer. I feel like I’m king of the mountain“ (Habakkuk 3:17-19 The Message).

Father God; This world is a very bleak place right now. I could choose to whine, ask why, rant, rave, blame. Instead I will choose praise. I lift up to You songs of praise and love and joy, Father/Son/Spirit. Just because You Are who You Are, I will praise You. With the angels round Your throne I cry out holy, holy, holy, You are worthy Mighty God of all my praise. From everlasting to everlasting, You are God-never changing- always present- in control. ABBA, give me a heart, that no matter what the circumstances, lifts its voice to heaven and gives praise and honor and joy and thanks to the Triune God. Amen

Day 2

Yet once more...

"Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens."  This phrase, "yet once more" indicates the REMOVAL of things that are shaken – that is, things that have been made – in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain.  Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable WORSHIP, with reverence and awe – for our God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12: 26 – 28).
Father, I thank you that what YOU have given to me is an unshakable inheritance, that can never be lost or stolen, but is ever increasing and has no end – the Kingdom of God! I thank you for the privilege of being your child, because YOU are the best Father I could ever have. YOU are well able to supply everything I need. Help me to stay focused on what can never fade away. Reset anything in my heart that is not in the position of my affections that You want it to be. Reorder and Reprioritize my affections so that once again I can "Seek first the Kingdom, and Your righteousness." I thank you for the promise that when I do this, "all else will be added unto me." I give you all praise and thanks for tenderly taking care of me according to your design. Amen.

Day 3

Whatever happens...

“Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ” (Philippians 1: 27).
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, knowing that You have called us to something greater. Over and over You have come back to us with open arms saying “I love you” even though we fall away and we lose sight of You. Show us ways in which we can use our circumstance to shine Your light to a world that has fallen away from You. Teach us to love each other in a way that lets Your glory break through. Thank You for your unconditional love and mercy,
In the matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Day 4

Do not be anxious about anything

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things” (Philippians 4:6-8).
O Heavenly Father, how we rejoice in Your goodness to us!  Thank you that You are sovereign, and that You bring us through all things.  We pray for great peace in our hearts during this trial - for our church, our community, our state, our nation, and even the world.
Father, help us to be focused on that which is good, right and pure during this time, that our hearts may be aligned with Yours. We also pray for all the decision makers in our country, as well as all those responsible for the supply lines, that all your people's needs may be taken care of during this time.
Finally, we pray for Your people to come closer during this time, even though we are physically apart, that the shared experience of having gone through a trying time together will result in a closer sense of community in all of our hearts. 
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

Day 5

Whom shall I fear?

“The Lord is my light and salvation – whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?”
When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.
One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in his dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.
Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at His tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord.
Hear my voice when I call, O Lord; be merciful to me and answer me.
My heart says of you, "Seek His face!" Your face, Lord I will seek.
Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; You have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, O God my Savior.
Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.
Teach me Your way, O Lord, lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.
Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, breathing out violence.
I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord” (Psalm 27).

Holy God, we worship you and praise your mighty name for You are our light and salvation, You are the stronghold of our lives. You are a place of protection, refuge, and safety in this time of uncertainty. Even when we do not know what tomorrow holds, we can trust in You. We can trust that in the day of trouble, You will keep us safe, You will hide us in your shelter, and You will set us high upon a rock. You are good. You are holy. You are mighty.
Cause us to seek Your face, Lord. Remind us and help us to focus our gaze on You, O merciful Lord. May our days be about seeking Your face, Your presence, Your beauty, and Your Spirit in our lives to empower and help us to be loving, generous, faithful, and kind. We want more of You, Lord. Forgive us for the times when we have sought things other than You to orient our lives and find fulfillment or protection. Forgive us for trusting in possessions or circumstances rather than You. Help us, Lord, to be about seeking You.
Finally, Lord, help us to wait for You (The word “wait” used in this psalm is a hopeful expectation). Help us to be strong, Lord, to take heart, and to faithfully wait with expectancy, knowing that You will move, You will act, You will arrive – right on time, not a moment too soon or too late. Thank you for all the ways that You are moving and working and acting for Your glory. Tune us to Your movements and Your timing that we may be in step with You. Lord, help us to reflect Your Kingdom and Your work to others. May the world see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Amen.
